Jurassic World Evolution 3 Rebirth Expansion REVEALED

The long-awaited, much-speculated Jurassic World Rebirth inspired DLC for Jurassic World Evolution 3 has been confirmed - and it is right around the corner with a release date of June 16th! This brand-new paid DLC will immerse fans straight into the world of the seventh instalment in the Jurassic Park franchise, with a fully-realised recreation of Île Saint-Hubert. Let’s dive in and find out more!

The brand-new DLC comes with a campaign set prior to the events of the latest film in the franchise, and invites players to complete assignments across three different areas of the island - dubbed Main Facility, Ancient Valley and Riverside Lab. In the campaign each of these areas will have the same visual aesthetic you see for the island in the film, meaning we’ll have iconic areas like the Gas Station and the Helipad making their appearance. There are a plethora of scenery pieces and building skins inspired by the new film accompanying this DLC, meaning there will be plenty of opportunities to build parks which embrace this new era in InGen design architecture.

Alongside these new and exciting environments, the game will also introduce four brand-new species to the ever-expanding roster of animals. Aquilops is an adorably-tiny addition which is added as a family unit, whilst Titanosaurus takes the family unit scale to the extreme with one of the largest sauropods to join the game. It is great to see both species will immediately support the juvenile system which was a pioneering part of this threequel. Alongside these natural animals we have a couple of abominations joining our parks in the form of the Mutadon and the Distortus Rex. Both present unique challenges and add new elements to containment gameplay which fans will discover as they play.

The new additions to the roster will be accompanied by a brand-new version of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, three versions of the Spinosaurus, a new version of the Mosasaurus, a new version of the Quetzalcoatlus, a new Dilophosaurus, and both versions of the Velociraptor seen fleetingly in the film. I was particularly happy to see that both Raptor variants seen in the Mattel toys are making their appearance in the game here as we will finally get a definitive look at the new designs for these animals. Needless to say, this alone makes the DLC feel a very worthy investment!

Animals have always been a huge talking point for the Evolution games, but this DLC also brings some exciting new gameplay mechanics. Geothermal Power is now a thing, and it isn’t a gimmick but rather a baked-in gameplay feature which will make you consider how you position your facilities in the campaign. Île Saint-Hubert being InGen’s most experimental island is something which the Frontier team have played with too, with brand new experimental traits available for dinosaurs. I don’t want to spoil what we were shown in our forty-minute preview, but there are some fun inclusions here which will let you really tinker with the genetic makeup of your dinosaurs.

The DLC will launch with over 35 blueprints, including a film-accurate version of the Qualtech Gas Station. I have to admit the way frontier have captured the aesthetic of the film really stood out to me and is something I have wanted since JWE3 launched, so I am excited to finally be able to build parks in this unique aesthetic. The DLC will also introduce unique skins for the MVU, ATV and capture/arrival helicopter, as well as giving the Ranger SUV the makeover to allow us to drive the beautiful InGen off-road vehicle. As if all of this wasn’t enough, the update also includes the brand-new open-air aviary - a unique addition which will allow us to see our flying reptiles in a way we have never seen them before. This will pair well with the updated height-restrictions on aviaries to make truly incredible aerial exhibits.

I am incredibly excited to get my hands on this DLC. I really hoped that if we got a Rebirth DLC it would go all-in on giving us the ability to really capture the essence of Île Saint-Hubert in our parks, and Frontier have really delivered. They’ve gone above-and-beyond with some of the blueprints and scenery pieces that are available, capturing all kinds of different parts of the film which I would have thought were strictly in the ‘nice to have but unlikely’ category. I really think fans who have been waiting patiently for news about this DLC will be delighted with what is on offer, and I can’t wait to see what people create with the new assortment of tools, animals and elements available to them.

Huge thanks to Frontier for including us in an early preview event for this DLC. The Jurassic World Rebirth DLC will be available alongside Free Update 1.3 on June 16th 2026. If you’d like to see a fun in-world breakdown of the new additions, check out my video below!
