Jurassic World Evolution 3 Set to Launch in October 2025

Jurassic June has been kickstarted with the announcement of Jurassic World Evolution 3 today – the next release in the ongoing ‘Evolution’ lineage from Frontier Developments. In this article we will break down everything you need to know about the new game.

We’ll start with the key detail you’ll want to know – the game releases on the 21st of October 2025. It will be available on the Xbox Series X and S and Playstation 5, and will also be available for purchase on the Epic Games Store, STEAM and for the first time, Windows. The game retails for £49.99, but there is a deluxe edition which will retail for £59.99.

If you’re a fan of decorative pieces then it’s worth getting a preorder in as you’ll get a copy of the ‘Badlands Set’, which features scenery items inspired by the Monta Dig Site seen in the opening of Jurassic Park. The pack includes a canopy, mobile home, fossils, computers, a fossil finder and a prop ATV – all acting as placeable pieces of scenery. You’ll also get an exclusive skin for the new ATV present in the game. The deluxe edition includes three more ATV skins, plus a Clark County scenery pack, and four exclusive dinosaurs. These are Thanatosdrakon, Guanlong, Concavenator and Protoceratops. There is also an exclusive Mosasaurus skin in this pack.

The focus of Jurassic World Evolution 3 is natural breeding programmes in the wild. Players can expect to raise dinosaur families and pass genes on through generations of naturally-bred dinosaurs within their parks. Many of the mechanics present here will be familiar to existing fans of the Evolution franchise, with attractions and habitats both acting as key considerations throughout gameplay.

Fans of the franchise can expect over 80 species of prehistoric animal to be present in the game at launch. 70 of these species will be able to breed families, meaning there will be plenty of adorable juvenile animals for us all to gawk at. As we’ve come to expect, dinosaurs will have unique behavioural and social needs which you’ll need to balance to prevent chaos from taking hold in your parks.

The biggest shake-up to the Evolution formula comes through brand-new terrain editing and modular scenery tools. These give players the power to really shape their way from the ground-up in a way which hasn’t been seen in the Evolution franchise before. Naturalistic enclosures are now a real possibility.

New attractions like the Balloon Tour and Gentle Giants Encounter will further expand on the ability to add never-before seen functionality to your parks. If all that wasn’t enough for you, the game will also make use of the Frontier Workshop, meaning that fans will finally be able to visit each other’s parks in the game. You’ll even be able to add creations other people have made to your own park – broadening the creativity endlessly.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 will feature a brand-new campaign which brings Ian Malcolm back to the franchise. You can expect to visit locations like Montana and Japan, and will need to balance your reputation across three specific industry sectors, something akin to the other releases across the Evolution franchise.

The sequel will also see security cameras and new Maintenance ATVs added to the assortment of park infrastructure, meaning that your on-the-ground management of parks will be enhanced further than ever before.

It is safe to say there is a lot of new information here. Jurassic World Evolution 3 has big shoes to fill, with many of us wanting a game which feels like it really builds on the progress JWE2 made in meaningful ways. We’re sure there will be even more news to share once the dust of this announcement settles.
