Augmented Reality Velociraptor at CES 2018!

January 10, 2018 in Article
By Brad Jost

This year at CES, Jurassic World's Innovation Center is inching closer to reality via RealFiction's AR display, Deepframe. Find out more about this mixed-reality display via Devindra Hardawar at Engadget in the video below to see a familiar looking Velociraptor:

There's no definitive answer at the moment as to whether or not they have partnered up with Universal on this one, but the Velociraptor design is undeniably - Blue. Now, this is definitely nothing new, but it's great to see this being showcased to a wider audience at CES.

While it's not as detailed of a design that we are used to for Blue, this is still an impressive use of the technology that could certainly be used on tour with Jurassic World: The Exhibition. This could be the kicker that the finale to the Exhibition sorely needs inside the Innovation Center. Then it would truly replicate what we thought was impossible.

Co-founder of RealFiction, Peter Simonsen, had this to say about the device back in May of 2017 to Mashable:

“We believe that DeepFrame will be the new standard for mixed-reality displays — hopefully used by many people in the experience industry. Imagine an Apollo rocket launch in real size integrated as an image layer in the real world. Or a Dinosaur Park like Jurassic Park brought to life with this technology.”

Check out more below from RealFiction and their augmented reality display, Deepframe.
