Jurassic World Live - Coming To A City Near YOU!

January 25, 2018 in Article
By Brad Jost

It continues to amaze me how Universal is going full steam with the Jurassic franchise, finally realizing the potential power it holds. Announced today, Jurassic World Live will be touring a multi-year live Jurassic World themed show starting in the Fall of 2019 from Feld Entertainment! This sounds so promising and a very exciting experience.

“Feld will concept, produce and tour the multi-year arena show, which is scheduled to launch fall 2019 in the United States and will continue globally, featuring a herd of life-size dinosaurs extending up to 40-feet long. Using state-of-the-art projection mapping, fans will be transported right onto Isla Nublar, and with the addition of sophisticated animatronics and performer-operated characters, the dinosaurs will literally be the biggest stars of the show as the story is told through human and dinosaur interaction.”

The currently host Monster Jam, Disney On Ice, Sesame Street Live, Marvel Universe Live and so many more projects. It seems like Universal partnered with the best brand for the job! Here's a little bit of information from CEO of Feld Entertainment, Kenneth Feld.

“Feld Entertainment has the expertise and experience to bring this iconic franchise to life through an innovative format in an immersive arena setting coupled with a unique narrative that includes iconic locations and fan favorite dinosaurs – creating edge-of-your-seat, live entertainment that is a mix between a stunt show and a 3-D thrill attraction”
— Kenneth Feld, Chairman and CEO of Feld Entertainment

Since this is debuting Fall 2019, it will be interesting to see which route they take with the show. Will it focus on Jurassic World, when the park was thriving? Or will this show present the horror of the collapse of Isla Nublar in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom?

Jurassic World: The Exhibition just finished it's run at Chicago's Field Museum and we don't currently know where it's heading next. Is the franchise capable of holding two major touring exhibits? I think so. For now, head to the show's site to sign up for more details in the near future.

Check out the images below to see more work from Feld Entertainment!
