Today we were graced with a plethora of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season Four info coming out of Entertainment Weekly, as well as an AMAZING trailer! Head to EW to see the trailer and read the full article featuring an interview with Scott Kramer.

The trailer reveals how Michael Crichton stories are blending together with Camp Cretaceous Season 4 diving into a Westworld type story. The trailer starts out, as predicted, with a Mosasaurus attack on the kid’s escape yacht, leaving them to drift ashore on a strange new digital island. We see this new island transformed into a space similar to what we see in Godzilla vs Kong with digital enclosures built to replicate certain landscapes and environments. This strange new location is filled with the likes of robots, drones, the Spinosaurus, a T.rex, a saber-toothed tiger, a Kentrosaurus and a few raptors that look like the initial raptor tease Dreamworks showed off before the series premiered.

Here’s some tidbits we learned from the EW article:

  • The kid’s boat gets attacked by the Mosasaurus

  • Kids wash up on a new island - NOT SORNA or any of the Five Deaths

  • Drones herd dinosaurs on this island

  • Facility that projects different environments using holograms

  • Tundra environment has a robot that looks like a dinosaur

  • Expanded into a world that’s not just InGen or Biosyn

  • A saber-toothed tiger

  • Could be other non-dinosaurs in Season 4

  • Good chance we are seeing the same Spinosaurus

  • Spinosaurus isn’t the main antagonist for Season 4

There is so much to absorb here and based off the information and what we see in the trailer, this is a completely different Jurassic World than we are used to. Season four is about to change the way we view this franchise in big ways. Am I disappointed we aren’t going to Isla Sorna? Yes, but it will be interesting to see how they incorporate this new digital sanctuary. According the Scott Kramer in the EW article, it sounds like this doesn’t have much to do with InGen or Biosyn, so are we finally seeing what Mantah Corp has been up to this whole time? It’ll be interesting to hear the explanation as to what another company is doing with dinosaurs on an island.
