BRAND NEW Jurassic World Dominion Poster Revealed - Including Extended Preview Announcement

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for the upcoming Jurassic World Dominion IMAX preview. Do not read if you do not wish to be spoiled.

It’s happening. We are getting closer and closer to the release of Jurassic World Dominion - and, courtesy of Sam Neill, we have our first look at a poster for the upcoming film.

The poster displays a mosquito biting into the skin of a black dinosaur - with either hairs or quills sticking out through the animal’s skin. The inclusion of the mosquito obviously harkens back to the origins of the dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park saga - and this is accompanied by the strap-line of ‘It All Started Here’ - implying that Jurassic World Dominion is very much going to be a story set around not just the modern day franchise, but it’s legacy, too. This is something we already knew given the prior revealed crate with an ‘InGen Isla Sorna’ graphic on it - but it is interesting to see the past of the franchise so front and central in this poster.

Of particular note is the fact that this poster also announces a ‘Special Extended Preview of Jurassic World: Dominion’ with Fast & Furious 9 - implying that the special extended preview will be the cinema experience which Colin Trevorrow has referenced in recent weeks. It is also worth noting that this will only be viewable in IMAX - meaning you may have to trek farther afield to get access to this teaser.

Nick De Semlyen, of Empire Magazine, recently tweeted that he got to experience a five minute preview of a 2022 Film - so we think it is safe to assume that the preview of Dominion will last about five minutes in total - hopefully providing a decent taste of what is in store for audiences when the film debuts in just under a year.

UPDATE: A new image has been released by Rob Keyes from Screen Rant which appears to show some kind of feathered Raptor in an environment unlike any which we have seen before. You can find this image below.

Courtesy of Bloody Disgusting, we have a full description for this image:

“The five-minute Special Extended Preview of Jurassic World: Dominion, which audiences will be able to experience in full-screen 1:90:1 IMAX® aspect ratio, includes a prologue to the film’s narrative and is set 65 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period, when dinosaurs roamed the entire Earth. The breathtaking, action-packed scenes, featuring Oscar® winner Michael Giacchino’s iconic score, reveal what Earth looked like long before humans existed and tell the origin story of how dinosaur DNA first came to be carried by a mythic mosquito. The Preview features seven new species of dinosaurs, created by the legendary Industrial Light & Magic, that have never been seen in any Jurassic film before. But the Preview doesn’t end there and holds some real trademark Jurassic surprises with dinosaurs later roaming an Earth that is decidedly less theirs alone.”

Collider Provided more details on the sequence in their article - including confirmation of Dreadnoughtus, Quetzalcoatlus, Oviraptor, Nasutoceratops, Iguanodon, Morus intrepidus, and Giganotosaurus - confirming the seven brand new animals seen in this sequence, although Nasutoceratops is not new given it’s presence in Battle at Big Rock. Collider also confirmed that the sequence shows a fight between a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Giganotosaurus - with the scene eventually transitioning into a modern-day chase with the T-Rex. We don’t want to spoil anymore, so make sure to read their article for more details!
