Jurassic World Evolution 2’s Dominion Biosyn DLC Launches Today

Today is the 14th of June – which means that the newest piece of DLC for Jurassic World Evolution 2 launches today. The DLC, titled ‘Dominion: BioSyn Expansion’ will bring fans of the game more content themed around the latest entry in the Jurassic World movie saga. This will include a brand-new campaign which is set in Italy’s Dolomite Mountains as we help to develop BioSyn, a new Chaos Theory Mode set in the wild lands of the Sierra Nevadas, and plenty of new animals and buildings which can be placed throughout your parks.

We’re going to take a closer look at some of the content you can get your hands on from today in this article – so let’s dive in!

The new DLC will provide plenty of new animals for you to get your hands on – with many fan-favorites from Dominion joining the assortment. The gorgeous new feathered Pyroraptor is likely to be a highlight with its crimson red feathers – although there are plenty of other skins included for all the dinosaurs in the game! We also have new variants of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, alongside new variants of the Parasaurolophus. Let’s not forget everyone’s new favourite big-bad dinosaur – the Giganotosaurus, and also the deadliest herbivore we’ve seen in the franchise to date – the Therizinosaurus. If Dinosaurs don’t take your fancy then the DLC will also add a synapsid in the form of the Dimetrodon, and a large pterosaur in the form of the enormous Quetzalcoatlus. In short – there are a TON of new animals and new animal variants coming into the game with this DLC.

There are also some fun new buildings coming in the DLC. The Campaign mode will feature the BioSyn sanctuary building which we see in JWD, and this will also be visible in the background of the sandbox map in the Dolomite Mountains. We also get the brand-new observation towers which we see used by BioSyn in Dominion – complete with raising and lowering features, and the ability to go into first-person camera view. The DLC also adds a hyperloop system – allowing you to connect certain buildings underground to maintain the more naturalistic appearance which the sanctuary features within the film. In short – if you enjoyed the way BioSyn seemed to keep the dinosaurs out of paddocks and in a more natural environment, then you’re going to enjoy the way these features function in the DLC. Make sure to share your BioSyn parks with us on Social Media!

We can also look forward to invisible fences in the new DLC – allowing us to finally build paddocks and containment facilities which do not lead to metal fences being visible in the backdrops of screenshots. This is a really smart decision and something which I am super excited to get hands on with in the game. These will really help to change the aesthetic of many of the parks which we build from the better. And then let’s not forget the plethora of new visuals which will come with this DLC – from brand-new scenery pieces, to new skins for the Ranger Patrol Vehicles and Helicopters. If you’re a fan of BioSyn then the DLC looks set to really empower you to build their facilities from the ground-up.

Lastly, but certainly not least – it’s worth noting that the DLC will provide you with new game mechanics to experiment with. We know that herding is going to be a big new part of the game – allowing us to guide our dinosaurs in different directions to create unique herding behaviors and also move animals between paddocks. I am very excited to see how the community use this new feature to get cool screenshots or cool pieces of video, and I can’t wait to try them for myself.

Today’s DLC is set to really change Jurassic World Evolution 2 for the better – with tons of new features and elements getting packed into the game. We’ve been hungry for more BioSyn since seeing Jurassic World Dominion and are so hyped that this DLC looks set to scratch that itch. We’re super excited to play the game today – and we hope you are, too! Let us know if you’re planning on diving into the new DLC today, and stay tuned for plenty more content from The Jurassic Park Podcast in the not-so-distant future!
