It is safe to say that hype for the recently-released Return to Jurassic Park DLC on Jurassic World Evolution has been high within the past few months – with many fans excited to sink their teeth back into Isla Nublar. We decided to get the hype engine running even further – by starting a screenshot competition to see your best attempt at mimicking 1993 in the game before the launch of the new DLC.

We expected some great entries – but you all pulled out the stop and creating some incredible screenshots. Let’s break them down together!

Kicking off the great screenshots – we have two fantastic entries from AbombX, who has created two fantastic photos emulating some of the iconic scenes within the first film. Our first entry here creatively uses Rocks to mimic the ‘one big pile of…’ sequence with the Triceratops, whilst the second is a nice nod to the introduction of the Brachiosaurus.

All in all, these were two AWESOME screenshots which really captured the spirit of 1993!

Game Vids For Life comes in with another fantastic entry – showing the queen of the old park, Rexy, meeting the new mark in a stunning photograph captured outside of Jurassic World’s Innovation Centre.

A Dinosaur Guy captures two incredibly tense looking photographs, with awesome use of cinematic elements to capture a darker and more horror-esque Jurassic Park theme. You wouldn’t want to go into the long grass with that Velociraptor – and that close-up of the Tyrannosaurus Rex reminds of us why we don’t want to visit a real-life Jurassic Park!

Great entries which highlight the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park.

Genozoic Artist takes a fun look at a Jurassic Park which has been covered in darkness – as a Ranger team desperately attempting to get the power back on stumble upon one of the worst sights they could…

JWE Screenshots returns to Jurassic Park in still – re-envisioning the fateful scene where we are first introduced to Jurassic Park by John Hammond. This is an incredibly fun re-creation of our introduction to the park in the first film.

@RealMB164 .jpeg

RealMB164 reminds us why the Dilophosaurus of Jurassic Park are so deadly – with one charging towards Jeep 29. We can’t see Dennis Nedry anywhere in this screenshot – but we’re sure that he is going to need more than just a big stick to scare this thing off!

Friend of the podcast Taylor Bowes decided to try his hand at the Jurassic World Evolution screenshot game – with two fantastic entries! The first entry from Taylor depicts a Jurassic Park jeep driving towards a herd of Brachiosaurs – the gentle giants of the original park. The second photo, however, is much more intimidating – with an angry T-Rex hungrily chasing after some Jurassic Park Wardens!

Great work with these entries, Taylor!

Kyle Lambourne.jpeg

Kyle Lambourne captures a Dilophosaurus in the lights by the Isla Nublar lagoon in this fantastic screenshot. We hope the Rangers in that Jeep lived to tell the tale of this encounter…

@TheHoyt08 .jpeg

In third place, we have The Hoyt 08 – with an absolute fantastic look at the Tyrannosaurus Rex lumbering over some prey as a Gallimimus runs past in horror. I love the sense of dynamic motion and action in this photograph, and love the lower angle which Andrew decided to capture with this fantastic photo.

Xeno Park.jpeg

In second place, we have Xeno Park – who captured another incredible photograph featuring the Tyrannosaurus and a Gallimimus. I really love the use of Nublar North for this photograph – capturing Mount Sibo in the background and really grounding this as a photo set on Isla Nublar. Xeno Park did a fantastic job hitting some core Jurassic Park beats with this photo.

@BTS_Ott .jpeg

Number One, and our winner, is BTS_Ott with a fantastic picture featuring the Troodon. The second I saw this photograph, I fell in love with it. It really evokes serious vibes from the original Jurassic Park video game created by Telltale, and is also a fantastic interpretation of the source material which I set for this competition. This is an incredible entry.

Thanks to everyone who chose to enter this competition – it was hard choosing a winner, but we are grateful to all who entered! We hope you are having fun with the Return to Jurassic Park DLC, and let us know if you would like to see more competitions like this in the future.
