Read MoreAs fans of the Jurassic Franchise, we all feel incredibly lucky this year. Not only is it the 25th Anniversary of the iconic, cult-classic, Jurassic Park, but it is also the year of release for a new adventure in the franchise – Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
It’s no secret – the buzz for Fallen Kingdom is real. Video games, merchandise, books, toys – you name it, and it will get slapped on a lunchbox and sold, just like Ian Malcolm predicted! It is within this fine web of new material for consumers that we find what I want to talk about today – Jurassic Toys. For the first time in years, cheap, affordable and crucially, good, Jurassic toys are flooding the marketplace. From cheap blind bags, to more expensive T. Rex figures and even construction sets of vital locations – it is no secret that we are awash with toys this year.
As a massive fan of toy photography, this excites me. For the first time in a long time, a slew of beautiful, photo-rich products is falling at my feet – just waiting to be busted open and photographed. We really are lucky to have a multitude of such beautiful products which we can really get creative with. I, for example, have been getting creative with a bunch of the Mattel and LEGO products available so far – taking an assortment of different photographs which showcase these toys in beautiful environments. And I know I am not the only one. Everyone from Victoria’s Cantina, to Nathy Vader and more are embracing these new toys and taking some seriously cool photographs.
I think, as we get closer to the release of this fantastic film, it’s fun to get a little creative – a little bit of creativity can go a long way, after all! So, in the build-up to the film, we’d love to see your toy photographs. Whether they be LEGO, Mattel, Hasbro or anything else – get snapping and get sharing. Let’s continue to build the hype for this film, and let’s continue to get super excited for what’s to come!
As a side note – Brad and Aaron will be shooting some fantastic reviews of some of these toys, so check back soon for more on those!
